🎬 Charity Cinema Night: “Karla” by Christina Tournatzi
The Inner Wheel Club of Rhodes invites you to a special movie screening with a vital social purpose, featuring the multi-award-winning film “Karla” by Christina Tournatzi on Thursday, September 3rd, at 20:00, at the “Rodon” Cinema-Theater.
Based on the true story of a minor who decided to break her silence, “Karla” is a powerful film about child abuse and a young girl’s fight to be heard and believed. In 1962 Munich, 12-year-old Karla reports her father, embarking on a grueling legal and social battle. It is a deeply moving story of courage, truth, and above all, every child’s right to be protected and heard.
The film won the Screenplay Award, Fischer Audience Award, and FIPRESCI Award at the 66th Thessaloniki International Film Festival, while Christina Tournatzi was honored with the Best Director Award at the Munich International Film Festival.
