The Region of South Aegean continues to invest in the promotion, promoting, and raising the international profile of local products and the unique culinary identity of its islands, creating new opportunities for promotion and networking for its producers and businesses.
In this context, the Region of South Aegean will participate in the Food and Beverage Expo, which will take place in the multipurpose hall of the Syntagma Metro station from November 11 to 14, 2026, for a total of four (4) days.
The Region’s presence in central Athens represents a significant opportunity to showcase and promote its local products, both in the Greek market and abroad, as well as for forging new commercial and professional partnerships.
Through their participation in the fair, producers from the South Aegean have the opportunity to present their products to a broad audience of consumers and professionals, to build relationships of trust with the Greek public, business owners in the industry and the food service sector, and explore opportunities to enter into agreements that benefit their production.
From the islands of the South Aegean to the heart of Athens
The exhibition is a significant opportunity to showcase the local products and businesses of the Region of South Aegean in the very heart of the capital, offering the chance to highlight the islands’ culinary and productive identity to a broad consumer audience.
This initiative takes on particular significance at a time when the South Aegean is increasingly highlighting its gastronomy as an integral part of its identity, culture, and productive character.
This effort is also directly linked to the Region of South Aegean’s bid for the title of World Gastronomy Region 2028, a candidacy that highlights the islands’ culinary heritage, the people involved in food production and the restaurant industry, local products, and the contemporary potential of the primary sector.
The goal is for the gastronomy of the South Aegean to serve as an even stronger vehicle for outreach, development, and international promotion of the islands.
