Pollyanna, the story’s heroine, always looks on the bright side of life, believing that we can find joy even in the unpleasant things that happen to us—a joy that brightens and improves everything in our lives.
Arriving alone in a village full of indifferent and sorrowful residents, she applies this “game” and manages in a short time to uplift everyone, filling them with optimism, joy, and hope. Through this, she becomes a symbol of love and kindness for everyone she crosses paths with.
The performance features a highly engaging plot, clever sets, meticulously crafted fairytale costumes, and inspired choreography set to old country, foxtrot, rock & roll, gospel, and blues music, as this play is a gem of American literature.
