The 19th Rhodes-South Aegean International Festival, following a dreamlike concert on the remote island of Kastellorizo, continues in Rhodes with three major concerts at the iconic Palace of the Grand Master of the Knights, which form the backbone of the festival’s program, which will conclude with a concert at the Roman Odeon of Kos.
As previously announced, the Festival has embarked on a new and particularly significant path: expanding its activities beyond Rhodes, with the aim of bringing high-quality cultural events to the entire South Aegean region.
The festival, with its new identity as the Rhodes–South Aegean International Festival, is marking its expansion and creating a cultural network that connects
the islands through music, aims to organize concerts on other small islands in the South Aegean that are difficult to access and lack significant cultural events, as well as on larger islands that express an interest in participating in the initiative.

An opera gala dedicated to the ultimate diva of opera, Maria Callas, marking the 49th anniversary of her death, featuring distinguished opera singers
The concert features the internationally renowned Greek soprano Myrto Papathanassiou and the distinguished tenor of the Greek National Opera, Manos Kokkonis. At the piano is the distinguished soloist Nikos Kyriossoglou

“MOYSA” SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA OF THE THESSALONIKI CONCERT HALL

“MOYSA—Thessaloniki Concert Hall Youth Symphony Orchestra” was founded in 2015 by the Thessaloniki Concert Hall Organization (TCHO), with a founding grant from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. It has collaborated with distinguished conductors, has performed with internationally renowned soloists and ensembles, and has appeared in some of the most prestigious concert halls in Greece and Europe.
The orchestra, under the baton of its music director Panagiotis Diamantis, is participating in the festival for the second year and will perform two concerts at the Palace of the Grand Master of the Knights, each with a different program and soloists
Following the concerts at the Palace of the Knights in Rhodes, “MOYSA” will travel to Kos, where it will present a unique concert at the Roman Odeon, bringing the festival to a close.

All “MOYSA” concerts are co-produced with the Thessaloniki Concert Hall.
The 19th Rhodes-South Aegean International Festival is organized under the Artistic and General Direction of Penelope Serdari, Special Advisor on Cultural Management Ms. Penelope Serdari, founder of the festival, under the auspices and with the support of the Ministry of Culture, the Greek National Tourism Organization (EOT), the General Secretariat for the Aegean and Island Policy, under the auspices of UNESCO, with the support of the Dodecanese Ephorate of Antiquities and the Rhodes Music School
Organized by the non-profit Cultural Organization for the Promotion of the Arts and Greek Culture “Rhodes International Festival,” in collaboration with the Municipality of Rhodes. The concerts in Kastellorizo and Kos are also co-organized with the respective municipalities.
