The Municipality of Rhodes Senior Citizens’ Center is launching a new initiative focused on communication, collaboration, and social contribution, and extends an open invitation to anyone who wishes to volunteer their time, knowledge, skills, experience, or talent to its members.
This initiative is yet another outreach effort by the Department of Elderly Care, aimed at creating more opportunities for active participation, creative engagement, learning, communication, and social interaction.
A piece of knowledge someone possesses, a skill they can share, a hobby, a creative idea, or professional experience can all serve as the inspiration for a meaningful and enjoyable group activity. Volunteer activities can take various forms, such as talks, presentations, hands-on workshops, creative activities, educational sessions, cultural events, wellness activities, familiarization with new technologies, and the exchange of experiences and knowledge—as well as any other idea that can bring joy, knowledge, and creativity to KAPI members.
Participation can involve a single activity or a series of meetings, depending on the availability, time, and proposal of each volunteer.
For KAPI, volunteering is not just an act of giving. It is an opportunity to meet, communicate, and build connections within the community. It’s a chance to share what we know and love, and to learn from one another.
That is why this invitation is open to everyone.
You don’t have to be an expert.
All you need is something you love, know, or can share.
Anyone wishing to participate in this volunteer initiative can contact the Agios Ioannis Senior Citizens’ Center at 22410 74360, for more information and to express your interest.
“I share what I know. I offer what I can.
Together, we’re creating something beautiful for an active, creative, and engaged senior community!”
