On Sunday, October 11, 2026, at noon, the award ceremony for participants in the Category E tennis tournament was held at the Tennis Club facilities in Karakonero3. Young athletes from various regions of Greece took part in the event, where they had the opportunity to gain competitive experience and demonstrate the values of respect, perseverance, and discipline.
The awards were presented to the winners by the Deputy Regional Governor for Culture of the Dodecanese, Kallistos Diakogeorgiou, who in his remarks praised the children’s efforts, the support of the coaches and parents, as well as the contribution of the administration of the Rhodes Tennis Club (ROA) and its president, Vasilis Arapis, to the development of the sport on the island.
In his statement, Mr. Diakogeorgiou noted: “It is a special pleasure to be here with you at the awards ceremony for the E3 tennis tournament. Warm congratulations to all the children for their participation and effort, and especially to the athletes who distinguished themselves. In tennis, as in life, it is not only victory that matters, but also perseverance, discipline, and respect for one’s opponent. Congratulations to the coaches and parents for their invaluable support, as well as to the administration of the Rhodes Tennis Club (ROA) and especially to its president, Vasilis Arapis, for their significant contribution to the development and promotion of the sport in Rhodes. I would also like, however, to highlight the particularly touching presence of the grandparents at the awards ceremony, who, with their love and pride, stand by their children and grandchildren, supporting their every effort and taking pride in their successes. I wish our young athletes continued progress, that they enjoy the game, and that they pursue their dreams with consistency and dedication. Good health and much success to all!
The E3-category tournaments are a pivotal milestone in the competitive development of young athletes, offering them the opportunity to improve their technical skills through healthy competition.
