Mess Play Rhodes and Psycholo-Ygeia (Maria Pizanía / Alexia Stathaki) are organizing an online parenting seminar titled “Inside the Mind, Close to the Heart: The Child’s Brain, Development, and the Power of Connection.” The session will take place online via Zoom on Thursday, November 19, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The seminar focuses on what happens inside a child as they grow up and why, at times, they may struggle to express their feelings, understand others, or stay connected with their parents. When we have a better understanding of the developing brain and the stages of development, we can view a child’s behavior with greater understanding and adjust our expectations to match their capabilities. In this context, issues related to emotional bonding and emotional upbringing are linked to a closer look at the child’s world.
During the seminar, we will explore:
- Basic elements of brain structure and development.
- Developmental stages and what they help us understand in everyday life.
- Empathy and empathy in the parent-child relationship.
- Shame and how we respond when a child experiences it.
- Moments of disconnection and how we can reconnect.
Behind every reaction lies a world worth exploring with curiosity, presence, and understanding—in a gathering designed to help us better understand the growing child and the relationship that grows alongside them.
The participation fee is 25€. For information and to reserve a spot, interested individuals can call 6937440391 or submit an application via the online registration form.
