On Saturday, October 17, 2026, at the Leros Municipal Cinema, the educational event organized by the Region of South Aegean, in collaboration with the Dodecanese Directorates of Primary and Secondary Education and the scientific organization i-paidi, focused on Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
Following Rhodes, Kos, and Kalymnos, Leros was the next stop for this important initiative, which was received with great interest by the local community.
Teachers and parents from Leros had the opportunity to attend a presentation by specialists on recognizing the early symptoms of ADHD-Y that affect children and to learn intervention strategies for supporting students and adolescents with ADHD in the classroom, at home, and in daily life.
As part of the training, emphasis was placed on highlighting the potential and abilities of children with ADHD, while experts presented practical interventions that can be applied in the classroom, at home, and in daily life. Of particular interest were the experiential activities and organizational techniques, featuring practices that help improve concentration, self-regulation, and learning support for children and adolescents.
The keen interest shown during the training was also reflected in the request by teachers on Leros to continue similar training initiatives, highlighting the need for ongoing professional development, further specialization, and the strengthening of their knowledge and skills in supporting children and adolescents with ADHD.
