Eirini Della’s Creative Writing Workshop returns to Rhodes for the seventh consecutive year, establishing its own official identity under the name “Blue Ink” and launching new groups for adults, children, and teenagers. The initiative is carried out with the support of the Rhodes International Center for Writers and Translators (ICWR) of the Department of Education and Youth of the Municipality of Rhodes, which is providing its event hall for the meetings.
With a love of writing and literature at its core, “Blue Ink” invites young and old alike to discover their creative voice, experiment with language, and share ideas and stories.

A Seven-Year Creative Journey
The workshop became part of the activities supported by the Municipality of Rhodes’ International Center for Writers and Translators in January 2019, as part of a broader effort to promote writing and literature in the local community. Over the years, it has offered courses in prose, creative writing, poetry, and playwriting for both beginners and advanced adult learners. At the same time, it has developed a wide range of cultural and educational activities, such as:
- Evenings of literature and music to mark the completion of the annual courses.
- Film screenings on the theme of writing.
- Radio specials.
- Reading promotion activities and free workshops.
- Writing retreats inspired by Rhodes.
- Outdoor cultural heritage events.
- Summer writing camps for children.
The workshop’s ongoing collaboration with the DKSMR exemplifies the value of supporting creative initiatives, which bring literature closer to the public and foster creative expression across all age groups.
