The AHEPA Kos “Hippocrates” chapter and the Kos Association of Volunteer Blood and Organ Donors “Hippocrates” express their deep satisfaction with the completion of this volunteer initiative, marked by the delivery and donation of the new state-of-the-art ultrasound machine to the Cardiology Clinic, on Saturday, July 12, 2026, at the Kos General Hospital, at a particularly significant moment for our island, in the presence of the Minister of Health, Mr. Adonis Georgiadis , and the Secretary General of Health Services, Ms. Lilian Venetia Vildiridi.
This joint effort, with the support of citizens, businesses, and local community organizations, demonstrates that when the forces of society unite, projects can be realized that bring substantial and lasting benefits to our region.
The new ultrasound machine substantially enhances the capabilities of the Cardiology Clinic and significantly strengthens the health services provided to residents and visitors of Kos, offering greater safety, faster diagnosis, and higher-quality care to patients.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who believed in this effort and helped make it a reality. This success belongs to everyone: the volunteers, the donors, the citizens, the organizations, and every person who supported our shared vision for better healthcare services.
