The company is led by the renowned dancer and choreographer David Gutierrez, who is considered one of the most talented dancers in Spain and is recognized as one of the leading international flamenco dancers.
Carmen is pain, passion, and a cry for freedom, emotions that the art of flamenco masterfully portrays in its wildest and most primitive expression. David Gutierrez adapted the story written by Prosper Merimee and the music of Georges Bizet, introducing new elements of flamenco that were previously unknown, transcending traditional perceptions. The values for which Carmen is still a contemporary woman today retain her message of freedom and courage in an unequal world where women continue to fight for their rights.
