Stavroula Georgopapadakou & DUENDE Dance Company Present: “Dance: The Art of Movement”
Stavroula Georgopapadakou and the DUENDE Dance Company present an evening dedicated to the art of movement, Dance, on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at 9:00 PM, at the RODON Open-Air Cinema-Theatre.
The performance, titled “Dance: The Art of Movement,” is inspired by the very name of the company: Duende. Based on the iconic lecture by F. G. Lorca, this dance performance brings “Duende” to life—the mysterious, inexplicable power and inner struggle born within the living body of the artist. Free from rules, Duende is an authentic ecstasy of passion that rises from the soles of the feet and transforms movement in the present moment. Through the captivating power of flamenco, the performance highlights the need for the essential, the deep, and the authentic, standing against our materialistic and narcissistic era. A deeply moving experience where true art and high culture triumph.
