A particularly moving event will be held at the “Rodon” Cinema on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at 9:00 p.m., dedicated to a woman whose name is inextricably linked to the art of dance in Rhodes: Elli Paraskeva. The founder of the historic dance school bearing her name (1970), is being honored for her many years of service to the island’s arts education, in an evening filled with memories, awards, and testimonials.
The event is curated by Maria Manioti, one of her students and current director of the “Anemi” Dance School, while the documentary tribute to be screened is directed by Lefteris Gotzogiannis. As it is aptly stated: “The dance ends when the music stops. But the education it leaves behind continues to dance within people.”
