Rhodes is getting ready once again this year to “dance to the rhythm” of love, offering, and solidarity. On Sunday, November 1, 2026, we all make the most beautiful date of the year together once again. A date that for years has been proving that when an entire society joins forces, it can achieve truly great things. Thousands of people. Thousands of t-shirts. One big group of friends and one common goal, which is none other than to actively support the General Hospital of Rhodes and the people who need it.
And this year, “Rhodes for Life” sets the bar even higher with three goals:
1st goal: A modern intraoperative neuromonitoring system, which is used, among other things, in thyroid surgeries. It is an important tool that helps the surgeon locate and monitor, in real time, the nerves related to voice function during surgery. Its contribution is particularly important in more complex operations, such as in cases of thyroid cancer, lymph node dissection, or re-operation, where nerve protection can be even more demanding.
2nd goal: A modern color echocardiograph for the Cardiology Clinic with three probes, suitable for newborns, children, and adults, along with the necessary accessory equipment, for the Cardiology Clinic of the General Hospital of Rhodes. This is equipment particularly important for the cardiology care of patients of all ages, from the first days of a newborn’s life to childhood and adult life. A modern diagnostic tool that will substantially enhance the work of doctors and offer even greater examination and monitoring capabilities to patients.
3rd goal: A modern software for the Obstetrics – Gynecology Clinic, with a significant contribution to the prevention and early investigation of gynecological conditions. It is a modern tool that comprehensively organizes the medical history and examinations of each patient and supports prenatal care and ultrasound examinations. In Gynecology, it supports, among other things, preventive procedures such as the Pap test, while also featuring specialized tools for evaluating findings and estimating the probability of malignancy in adnexal masses. At the same time, the software connects to the ultrasound, so that measurements and images are transferred and archived directly into the patient’s file, making monitoring more organized, fast, and safe.

The color that will unite us this year is petrol. It will unite a society that cares, that offers, that unites, and that turns the power of “together” into action.
