The Rhodes Youth Fair 2026 will take place over two days and will feature a series of activities and events aimed at encouraging young people’s active participation and connecting them with academic and professional institutions, and civil society organizations.
The event will begin on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. with the official opening of this major celebration for young people. The event, which will be hosted in the New Wing of the Nestorideion Melathron at the Museum of Modern Greek Art of the Municipality of Rhodes, is open to the public.
Remarks by the organizers and dignitaries will be followed by an official presentation by the Hellenic Diplomatic Academy. The Director of the Hellenic Diplomatic Academy, Ambassador Michael-Christos Diamesis, on the occasion of the Rhodes Youth Fair and the university edition of RhodesMRC 2026, during which he will speak about career opportunities at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Elvira Mentzelioti will then take the stage, a member of the National Youth Council and Greece’s Youth Representative to the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe, who will speak on the topic “Revitalizing Politics: Empowering the Voices of Young People in Greece”
The following day, Wednesday, October 7, the Rhodes Youth Fair will host a series of exhibitors from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with whom the young people of Rhodes, residents and visitors alike, will engage with through in-person meetings and interactions, as well as a series of interactive activities.
The highlight of the day will be the event “EU Youth Dialogue: Youth and Modern AI Technologies,” organized by the Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family, in collaboration with the National Youth Council, in Rhodes, as part of the Rhodes Youth Festival 2026, with the aim of bringing together more than 200 young people to discuss the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI), social media algorithms, and misinformation have on their democratic participation and mental health. The initiative and its conclusions will form the basis of Greece’s positions in shaping the European Union’s new youth policies, which will soon be put out for consultation. It is worth noting that the Rhodes Youth Fair 2026 is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family and Minister Domna Michailidou. As she states in her letter on the subject, [the Rhodes Youth Fair 2026] “is an important opportunity for direct contact and communication with young people seeking inspiration, knowledge, and guidance for their future. Empowering young people and creating opportunities for their active participation and development are directly linked to the priorities and scope of responsibilities of the Ministry’s General Secretariat for Demographic and Housing Policyof the Ministry.
The Rhodes Youth Fair is organized by the House of Europe in Rhodes and the RhodesMRC Organizing Committee, with the support of the Rhodes Network for Culture and Resilience, the European Network for Education and Training (EUNET), and the Greek Network of the Anna Lindh Foundation.
It is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family and the National Youth Council, as well as the Region of South Aegean, the Municipality of Rhodes, and the Chamber of Commerce, and is hosted by the Museum of Modern Greek Art of the Municipality of Rhodes.
