On Wednesday, August 19, 2026, the digital photography exhibition was held with great success and attended by a large number of visitors the digital photography exhibition took place in the beautiful setting of Argyrokastro Square in the Medieval City of Rhodes, curated by the Rhodes Amateur Photographers’ Club “Creative Rodos Photographers – C.Ro.P” and co-organized by the Region of South Aegean and the Municipality of Rhodes, as part of the celebration of World Photography Day.
Our photography team presented a collection of photographs on this year’s theme, “LIGHT,” as well as a slideshow of photos from the “Rhodes International Marathon,” “Rhodes for Life,” and other athletic and cultural events, honoring this special day for the entire photography community.
In addition to Rhodes’s photography enthusiasts, the exhibition was viewed by many of our visitors who are currently enjoying their vacations on our island.
Alongside the photo displays, visitors to the exhibition had the opportunity to take their own themed photos at the photo booth, against special backdrops, and in the style of an old newspaper.
The exhibition was honored by the presence of the Deputy Regional Governor for Culture, Mr. Kallistos Diakogeorgiou, the Deputy Mayor for Communications, Mr. Georgios Pattas—to whom we extend our warmest thanks— as well as the officials of the Region of South Aegean and the Municipality of Rhodes, who assisted and actively supported the event by playing a key role in its co-organization.
We thank Ms. Eleni Farmakidou, Director of the Dodecanese Ephorate of Antiquities, and Ms. Angeliki Kosma for their support and for making Argyrokastro Square available to us.
The event continues today, as our team invites photography enthusiasts to a photographic stroll through the Medieval City, starting at Argyrokastro Square—free of charge— so we can discover the secrets of photography together.
