The Municipality of Rhodes and the Rhodes Hoteliers Association signed a major agreement at the Ministry of Health to strengthen Rhodes Hospital, in collaboration with the Ministry’s leadership and the hospital’s administration.
Under this agreement, the Municipality of Rhodes, utilizing funds from its budget, together with the Rhodes Hoteliers Association, is jointly financing a three-year financial incentive program. The goal of the initiative is to attract and retain doctors, nurses, and medical technologists so that Rhodes Hospital can secure the staff necessary for its smooth operation.
Following the signing of the agreement, Rhodes Mayor Alexandros Koliadis posted a statement on social media, noting: “When it comes to the health of our fellow citizens, there are no ‘responsible’ or ‘irresponsible’ parties. There is only the duty to find solutions.”
At the same time, the mayor expressed his gratitude to Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis, the Director of Rhodes Hospital, Nikos Karamaritis, as well as the Rhodes Hoteliers Association for their close and effective cooperation.
