A collaboration focused on the island residents
Aegean Skills is a coordinated effort by the Region of South Aegean and the University of the Aegean to enhance island residents’ access to knowledge and lifelong learning. This collaboration links the University’s educational and scientific expertise with the needs of local communities, creating training opportunities across a wide range of contemporary topics.
The scientific director of the initiative is Chrysoula Vitsilaki, Professor Emerita at the University of the Aegean, as part of an effort to develop educational initiatives that provide tangible benefits to the residents of the South Aegean.
Free training and new opportunities for learning
The Aegean Skills programs are offered free of charge and are intended exclusively for residents of the Region of South Aegean, namely the Dodecanese and the Cyclades. Upon completion of the training programs, a Certificate of Participation is awarded by the University of the Aegean.
