The Creative Rhodes Photographers (CRoP) held its first outing of the new 2026–2027 season on Sunday, September 27, 2026, choosing Archangelos as its first stop. The photography group had the opportunity to meet people, associations, and artists who actively contribute to preserving the village’s traditions and daily life.
The tour began with a visit to the traditional Archangelos house of Gabriel Vassiliadis. There, members of the Archangelos Women’s Association “Artemis” warmly welcomed the photographers, shared moments of their traditions and daily life with them, and prepared the traditional “Koulouria,” the signature wedding dish featuring handmade pasta, showcasing the area’s culinary heritage.
The group’s next stop was the Daka family’s pottery workshop, a space where the art of pottery blends tradition with contemporary creativity. Club members learned about the stages of pottery production and the requirements of the process, capturing in photographs a space rich in history, technical expertise, and passion.
The photo outing concluded with a visit to the “Faethon” Association for the Protection of the Rhodes Miniature Horse. The photographers met the people who provide daily care for the animals and learned about the association’s activities and social contributions.
For the CRoP photography team, these visits go beyond mere photographic documentation; they are opportunities to get to know the local people and highlight living traditions. The club’s board of directors, represented by President Andreas Kaklios and Secretary-General Stavros Varono, extends its warmest thanks to all the organizations for their hospitality and this wonderful experience.
