The Rhodes Environmental Protection Association, focusing on the challenges and future of forest protection and firefighting.

The event will take place on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at 7:30 p.m., in the hall of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The goal of this initiative is to provide comprehensive information to the Association’s members and friends, as well as the general public, regarding developments in the Forest Fire Management System.

The Topic and the Keynote Speaker

The theme of the event is titled:

“Analysis of the Current Situation and Prospects for Improving the Forest Fire Management System”

The keynote speaker will be Lieutenant Colonel Savvas Kotridis. Mr. Kotridis, who has extensive experience in the field, is:

• Pilot – Instructor – Test Pilot for CL215 firefighting aircraft.

• Liaison between ESKEDIK (National Coordination Center for Operations and Crisis Management) with the Air Force.
