Free participation for residents of the South Aegean Region
Aegean Skills programs are offered free of charge and are intended exclusively for residents of the Region of South Aegean, specifically the Dodecanese and the Cyclades.
Upon completion of the training activities, a Certificate of Participation is issued by the University of the Aegean.
This new series of programs complements the courses that have already been implemented or are currently underway since the launch of Aegean Skills in February 2026. The initiative has already recorded approximately 1,800 registrations, while 12 training seminars were held or were in progress during the summer.
A partnership that brings knowledge closer to the islands
Aegean Skills is the result of a partnership between the Region of South Aegean, the University of the Aegean, and KEDIVIM, with the goal of creating more lifelong learning opportunities for island communities. The initiative has been presented as a joint effort by the two organizations to strengthen the knowledge and skills of the citizens of the South Aegean.
The scientific director of the programs is Chrysoula Vitsilaki, Professor Emerita at the University of the Aegean, with specialized members of the university community providing academic oversight of the individual activities.
With the new cycle beginning in October, Aegean Skills continues to invest in knowledge, skills, and lifelong learning, creating free educational opportunities for residents of the South Aegean islands.
