“Metrima” is a musical performance by Natassa Bofiliou, Themis Karamouratidis, and Gerasimos Evangelatos, born during a moment of transition. Celebrating twenty years of a shared journey, a cycle that closed with “Kati Kaigetai” (“Something is Burning”) and a brand-new chapter waiting to unfold, this performance serves as a live counting of songs, words, and shared memories. Moving from the core of their beloved repertoire to the first hints of what’s to come, it is a concert simple in form yet profound in its impact.
“One step after, one step before, we find yet another reason to engage in a counting of life. We count the years, the people, the songs, and the moments that left their mark on us and our world.
A year after the explosive cycle of ‘Kati Kaigetai’ closed, twenty years since our shared journey began, and just a breath away from opening its next chapter, we look back at notebooks, conversations, and memories to indulge in our favorite pastime: a reflection without a trace of nostalgia, our eyes firmly fixed on tomorrow.
Holding onto the essence of the authentic emotion of our core repertoire, while adding a small taste of what comes next, we return to simplicity. We are preparing the ground for a new, clear era that unapologetically brings forward the true essence of our art.
