The 4th Rhodes Green Festival returns to Rhodes Farm on Saturday, November 7, and Sunday, November 8, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., featuring hands-on and educational activities that bring young and old alike closer to nature and the animals at the farm. This is a family-oriented celebration that teaches love and respect for the environment.

Over the course of the two days, visitors will have the opportunity to interact with the animals, feed them, learn interesting facts about each species, take photos, and enjoy outdoor games. All scheduled special activities and workshops will take place on Sunday, November 8.

On Sunday, November 8, the following organizations will also participate in the festival with educational activities: Kalithea Cats, AMALTHIA – Network for the Protection of Native Farm Animals, the Dodecanese Volunteer Disaster Prevention Team (EOPK CB), the Dimylia–Eleousa Volunteer Group (EODE), and the Rhodes Corps of Volunteer Samaritans, Rescuers, and Lifeguards.

Program of Activities (Sunday, November 8)

  • 10:30 – 11:15: First Aid Demonstration by the Rhodes Volunteer Corps of Samaritans, Rescuers, and Lifeguards. For all ages (no registration required).
  • 11:15 – 12:15: “Once Upon a Time in a Forest Far Away” – Activity for children ages 3 to 6, led by Maria Manioti (Anemi). Children and parents become part of a story through movement and play, alongside the farm animals.
  • 11:20 – 12:20: “Color Farm: Little Artists in Action!” – Painting workshop led by Anastasia Papadavid and Niki Anastasiadou (age groups 4–7 and 8–12 years old).
  • 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.: “The Farm’s Little Gardeners” – Open activity for children ages 5 to 12, led by Nektarios Kalogirou (For Nature) & Ephraim Vogiatzis. Children learn about plants and herbs and get their hands dirty with soil (no registration required; drop-in participation is welcome throughout the event).
  • 12:40 – 13:40: “Once Upon a Time in a Faraway Forest” – A repeat of the activity for children ages 3 to 6 led by Maria Manioti (Anemi).
  • 12:45 – 13:45: “The Sunflower’s Fairy Tale” – Interactive storytelling and music by Maria Passaro for children ages 5 to 12.

For activities requiring registration, sign-ups will take place at the venue of each event, and spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to limited availability, each child may register for only one activity (if registered for more than one, participation in the activity scheduled first will take precedence).

Admission and Reservation Information

Admission to the festival is free on both days for members of Rhodes Farm, exclusively through online ticket reservations. To avoid overcrowding, the number of attendees per hour is limited, and you must present your ticket in either electronic or printed form.
