The program for the Holy Festival of the Church of the Transfiguration of the Savior in Maritsa combines religious services with a traditional celebration in the church courtyard.

Wednesday, August 5, 2026 (7:30 p.m.): Grand Festive Vespers, presided over by His Eminence Metropolitan Kyrillos of Rhodes.

Thursday, August 6, 2026 (7:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.): Matins and Festive Divine Liturgy, presided over by the Most Reverend Protosyngellos, Archimandrite Father Theonas Kamperis.
Traditional Celebration & Entertainment

Music: Live traditional music featuring Vasilis Michalakis on the lyre.

Start of the Celebration: The eve (August 5) and the day itself (August 6), immediately following the Great Vespers.
Purpose of the Event: Proceeds from the event will be used to support and develop the Heracles Maritson Athletic Club (A.K.S.).
