With the start of the new school year, the Rhodes Lions Club reached out to the students and teachers of the 1st Special Elementary School of Rhodes, responding to an important and pressing need of the school community.
On the initiative of the President of the Rhodes Lions Club, L. Mentou Zoannou, a visit was made to the school, and essential school and educational supplies—such as paper, pencils, paints, and other useful supplies, which will be used in the students’ daily educational and creative activities.
Also participating in the visit and the delivery of the supplies were Board members L. Stella Anastasiadi, L. Apostolis Sotiriou, and L. Vasilis Nikolis.
For the Rhodes Lions Club, supporting the educational community—and especially children who need additional care and educational support—is an expression of social responsibility, solidarity, and compassion in action.
Because every child deserves our attention, interest, and support. And even more so those children who need more opportunities, more encouragement, and an environment that will allow them to develop their potential and talents.
The Rhodes Lions Club will continue to stand by children, schools, and the local community, through initiatives and actions that make a meaningful and humane impact.
